Everything You Need To Know About Our Body Scrubs

What is an Emulsifying Body Scrub?

Lets first start off by breaking down what exactly an emulsion is. An emulsion is a fine dispersion of minute droplets of one liquid in another in which it is not soluble or miscible. Did I lose you?.... Thought so... In this particular scrub the emulsifier stabilizes the oil-in-water mixture.

The scrub is a form of mechanical exfoliation, meaning you physically remove the dead skin cells from the skin with abrasive ingredients (in this case it would be the sugar). This form of exfoliation increases cell turnover, removes dead skin cells, promotes hydration and helps to clear blemishes and texture on skin.

Every Body Scrub Has its own set of ingredients that makes that specific scrub work so lets breakdown ours...

Mango Butter: This particular butter is rich with antioxidants and vitamins. It provides a moisturizing and protective layer to the skin. Some benefits of this butter is that its anti-inflammatory- meaning is it effective in preventing inflammation and itching in the skin. It is moisturizing and helps to treat dry skin.

Cocoa Butter: cocoa butter is the fat that has been extracted from the cocoa bean. It is a great source of Vitamin E and contains a high amount of fatty acids. Fatty acids help to hydrate the skin. The fat in cocoa butter creates a protective barrier that holds in moisture and prevents your skin from drying.

Sweet Almond Oil: Due to its emollient properties almond oil has the potential to improve both complexion and skin tone. This oil is used to treat eczema and psoriasis and help to soften the skin.

Hempseed Oil: It rejuvenates and nourishes tight or dry skin and prevents flakiness and itchiness. Hemp seed oil is high in antioxidants – such as vitamin A, C, E, and F and fatty acids – that strengthen the outer layer of the skin so it can preserve water.

Emulsifying Wax: Emulsifying wax binds together oil and water, It emulsifies water and oil so your recipe stays creamy and smooth. it is Paraben-Free,  Phthalate-Free and Gluten-Free

Cetyl Alcohol: is an additive that helps thicken products in addition to adding moisture for the skin and hair. It helps improve the texture and emolliency of cosmetic products, and leaves a soft, smooth feeling on the skin when added to cosmetic products.

Optiphen: it is paraben- and formaldehyde-free. this preservative protects against mold and bacteria in lotion and scrub.

Vitamin E: Due to its fat-soluble nature, vitamin E is able to penetrate deep into your skin to help preserve lipids (fats) and soothe your skin. It helps to decrease the appearance of body scars and bruises, It also aides in healing while giving the skin a soft glow.

How do you use An Emulsifying Scrub?

Step 1: In a warm shower get body completely wet. Open up the scrub and take a small amount

Step 2: In the palms of your hands gently rub the scrub together adding a tiny bit of water to active the scrub

Step 3: Rub the scrub into your body and begin to exfoliate your body

Step 4: Simply rinse the scrub from your body. Our scrub is not greasy and does not coat the tub so once it hits water it will simply wash away leaving zero residue in the tub!

*Because our scrubs are made from all natural ingredients the colors of the scrub may change or "settle" if water is introduced into the jar. It won't change the product! Just the look
